If you’re planning Yosemite and want more than crowds and car lines, base yourself in Mariposa—a Gold Rush town with art galleries, great food, and fast, year-round access to the Valley via Hwy 140. Then see the Sierra Foothills the smart way: on a private, guided e-bike tour that matches your pace.

Yosemite E-Biking provides premium Aventon fat-tire e-bikes, safety gear, snacks, and a local guide who knows the quiet ranch roads, creek crossings, and ridge-top views that most visitors miss. Tours run half-day or full-day, with optional add-ons like gold panning or rock climbing. Groups are private (2–9 adults + up to 2 kids), so every stop—and story—is for you.

Why Mariposa Makes the Perfect Base

Mariposa sits at the crossroads of Hwy 49 and the All-Season Hwy 140—the quickest, most dependable route into Yosemite Valley through the Merced River Canyon—so you can ride foothill roads one day and be at El Capitan Meadow the next.

In town, you’ll find historic brick storefronts, museums, boutiques, and dining that ranges from farm-to-table to classic steakhouse. It’s not just a pit-stop; it’s a destination with year-round appeal. Try local favorites like 1850 Restaurant & Brewery, The Grove House, or Smokin’ Oak BBQ.
